The Auxiliary Chamber is thrilled to present a new episode with Laura Meyer, Stakeholder Coordination Officer at IOC-UNESCO. At the halfway point of the Ocean Decade, together we look at the first half of the Ocean Decade, and discuss the implementation of the Ocean Decade across the globe. We further discuss new Ocean Agreements like the BBNJ Agreement and investigate how the Ocean Decade is able to support States to bridge science and policy in the future of Ocean Governance! Laura Meyer is the Stakeholder Coordination Officer for the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development at the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO. A passionate sailor, Laura combines her personal connection to the ocean with academic expertise. She holds a law degree from the University of Hamburg and an LL.M. in Public International Law from Utrecht University, specialising in the Law of the Sea and International Environmental Law.
